Advancing Macomb will continue to make an impact in Mount Clemens thanks to a grant opportunity from General Motors. At the summit we hosted last year, the community identified a need for more recreational opportunities in the city. In order to provide some improvement on this issue, the GM Community Impact Grant will be used to create a partnership between Advancing Macomb, LK St. Clair Soccer and the City of Mount Clemens to provide an opportunity for youth to learn to play soccer and participate in structured positive play in their own community. The program provides funding for field development in the city and equipment for a youth summer soccer camp facilitated by LK St. Clair Soccer.  LK St. Clair Soccer is a member of the Michigan Premier Soccer League with the mission of allowing soccer players in southeast Michigan to improve their skill, partake in competitive soccer and to continue their love of the game while enriching the local community.
