The Advancing Macomb Board of Directors bids farewell to some members and welcomes new members. 

Some of our Advancing Macomb Board Members have moved on to new positions and have left our board. We wish them the best of luck in their new roles. 

Grace Shore retired from the position of CEO at the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce after serving nearly 40 years. She is still involved in many activities in Macomb County, but now has the luxury to enjoy them at her own pace. 

Melanie Davis left her position as President & CEO for the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry to become Community Relations Director for the City of Sterling HeightsWe look forward to working with her this role to continue to build strong relationships throughout the county. 

Terry Hamilton left his position as President of Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital and is now enjoying the weather in Lakeland, Florida as Executive Vice President and System Chief Operating Officer at Lakeland Regional Health. 

Marie Hocker left her role at Ford Motor Company earlier this year to focus her talents as the Executive Director of Detroit Employment Solutions’ program – Grow Detroit’s Young Talent. We are sad to see her go but know she will be a great asset in to GDYT. 

Mark Stiers of DTE Energy, also recently resigned his seat on our board. He has taken on additional responsibilities at DTE and is now leading both the Power and Industrial Group as well as Energy Trading. Mark played a vital role in our organizations strategic planning efforts and we are grateful for his leadership in the county and region. We know that he will continue to be an advocate for Advancing Macomb and Macomb County well into the future. 

 

The new board members joining us are: 

Kelley Lovati, PhD is the new CEO of the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce. She is an accomplished professional with a strong operations background who is well-connected throughout Macomb County. Kelley has a wide spectrum of experience both in the public health and the corporate sector with experience in management, marketing, community outreach, event development and public speaking.   

 Stacy Ziarko is the new President and CEO of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of fundraising, strategic planning, and non-profit management in addition to her relationships with a wide range of business, non-profit and community leaders. She is also a life-long resident of Macomb County.   

Mark Cullen is Senior Vice President at Marsh Detroit. He and his wife Julie have recently made Macomb their home. In addition to his background in commercial construction, development and real estate, Mark brings his talents in marketing and sales as well as his regional connections to the Advancing Macomb board.  

 

We are thrilled to have Kelley, Mark and Stacy join our group of talented board members that are committed to advancing Macomb County!
