The Advancing Macomb Board of Directors bids farewell to some members and welcomes new members.
Some of our Advancing Macomb Board Members have moved on to new positions and have left our board. We wish them the best of luck in their new roles.
Grace Shore retired from the position of CEO at the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce after serving nearly 40 years. She is still involved in many activities in Macomb County, but now has the luxury to enjoy them at her own pace.
Melanie Davis left her position as President & CEO for the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry to become Community Relations Director for the City of Sterling Heights. We look forward to working with her this role to continue to build strong relationships throughout the county.
Terry Hamilton left his position as President of Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital and is now enjoying the weather in Lakeland, Florida as Executive Vice President and System Chief Operating Officer at Lakeland Regional Health.
Marie Hocker left her role at Ford Motor Company earlier this year to focus her talents as the Executive Director of Detroit Employment Solutions’ program – Grow Detroit’s Young Talent. We are sad to see her go but know she will be a great asset in to GDYT.
Mark Stiers of DTE Energy, also recently resigned his seat on our board. He has taken on additional responsibilities at DTE and is now leading both the Power and Industrial Group as well as Energy Trading. Mark played a vital role in our organizations strategic planning efforts and we are grateful for his leadership in the county and region. We know that he will continue to be an advocate for Advancing Macomb and Macomb County well into the future.
