Are you ready to take your nonprofit to the next level? Advancing Macomb announces the launch of the Advancing Macomb Nonprofit Accelerator. This innovative leadership development program is tailored to support and empower nonprofits serving Macomb County.
The Advancing Macomb Nonprofit Accelerator is designed to elevate small to mid-size nonprofits in Macomb County with a four-month leadership and operational development program. Session topics will include:
“Advancing Macomb is proud to lead this innovative program, which underscores our commitment to fostering thriving communities through nonprofit collaboration and support,” said Phil Gilchrist, executive director of Advancing Macomb.
Advancing Macomb partnered with state-wide and regional organizations to develop a comprehensive curriculum tailored to nonprofit needs. Partners include Co.act Detroit, Culture Source, Michigan Community Resources, the Michigan Nonprofit Association, Nonprofit Enterprise at Work, the Nonprofit Network and Velocity.
Meghan Rutigliano, program manager at Advancing Macomb, will help lead the Nonprofit Accelerator. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, project management and community engagement, Rutigliano brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
“Meghan’s impressive background, including her work with Burning Man Project, LION Publishing, Outlier Media and Planet Detroit, will be an incredible asset to the program and our community here in Macomb County,” continued Gilchrist.
Applications are now open for the program’s inaugural cohort, which kicks off on March 10, 2025, and runs through June 2025. The cohort will meet two to three times monthly, with in-person and virtual sessions.
Up to 10 nonprofit organizations based in or serving Macomb County residents will be selected for the first cohort. There is no cost for selected nonprofits to participate in this program at this time.
