Call for volunteers! Advancing Macomb is working to build on the great community participation we received through the Mount Clemens Community Summit and digital survey this fall. Many of the respondents expressed an interest in participating in projects to continue to enhance events and programs in Mount Clemens.
While Advancing Macomb is working with community partners to identify and coordinate new projects in the city, we do not want to lose the momentum of the energy from the Community Summit. To do this, we are striving to get volunteers mobilized in the new year to fill volunteer opportunities in existing programs and events in Mount Clemens. We are starting small with a group of community residents and businesses, the Mount Clemens Volunteer Task Force, to help identify current projects and opportunities in the city and to match volunteers to those needs.
These volunteer opportunities can take many forms from park clean-up days, to assistance at special events, to lending a hand at recreational programs, and more. We want to help to connect people to the opportunities in Mount Clemens.
