Please join us for an hour with Caroline Altman Smith, the Deputy Director of the Kresge Foundation’s Education Program. Caroline is a 20-year veteran in philanthropy and will share some wisdom about how to cultivate and sustain relationships with foundations. Topics will be along the lines of: How do you approach a foundation for the first time? What’s the best way to make your fundraising case? What are some tips for preparing a compelling grant proposal? Once a grant is awarded, how do you keep the foundation engaged? She will provide some brief remarks and then have plenty of time for questions and discussion. Come ready with the questions you’ve always wanted to ask a foundation program officer.

Please note this is not an opportunity to pitch specific funding projects, but a shared professional learning opportunity more generally about foundation relations.
