The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program can allocate a portion of its annual funding to nonprofit organizations that provide services to low to moderate income populations as well as the general population. Many communities within Macomb County receive this funding annually from the Federal Government, and they all distribute it in slightly different ways.
Our presenter:
Liz Koto is the City Planner for the City of St. Clair Shores. She has worked for the city for 20 years, and she has experience in distributing Federal Grant funds to local non-profit agencies. She also helps new businesses move into the city and conducts site plan approvals for new and expanding buildings within the city. Liz also manages the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for the city.
