Designed for nonprofit leaders thinking about the future of their physical space, this session is for organizations considering purchasing or developing a facility, planning capital improvements to an existing space, or wanting to better understand the process and resources available. Kate will lead the conversation, sharing how IFF supports nonprofits through leadership, capital, and real estate solutions and walking participants through the key relationships between buildings and programs, ways to reflect on the challenges and opportunities in their own spaces, and how to assess their readiness to take on a project.

As a real-world case study, Susan Styf, President and Chief Executive Officer of CARE of Southeast Michigan, will share CARE’s experience acquiring a former bank and transforming it into a hub for health services, offering insight into the opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned along the way.
