Join the Movement to Preserve Our Hidden History!
The Lost City Project is a collaborative effort to honor the submerged community of St. Felicity, a once‑thriving town now resting beneath the waters of Lake St. Clair. It’s powerful story—brought forward in the Hidden History of Lake St. Clair documentary—represent an important piece of our region’s past that deserves to be remembered and shared.
In partnership, Macomb County, the Blue Economy Initiative, the Macomb County Chamber, Advancing Macomb, and Harrison Township are working with the Detroit Design Center to create a permanent public sculpture that memorializes this lost community. This artwork will not only celebrate the people who lived and built their lives there, but will also serve as a landmark that connects residents and visitors to the rich cultural and environmental history of our shoreline.
Your support plays a vital role in bringing this vision to life. Every contribution helps fund the design, fabrication, and installation of this meaningful memorial—ensuring that the stories of St. Felicity are preserved and honored for generations to come.
