Partnership with Michigan Community Service Commission Promotes Volunteerism

Advancing Macomb was chosen to be one of 13 organizations in the state to partner with the Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) to launch the Michigan Community Resilience Program. The MCSC, which utilizes service as a strategy to address the state's most pressing issues and empowers volunteers to strengthen communities, awarded a total of $200,000 in grants among those nonprofits to aid in COVID-19 response and recovery.

Cascade in the Shade Campaign Races Toward Deadline

The Cascade in the Shade crowdfunding campaign is moving in the right direction – it has crossed the halfway point. With the support of over 70 community donors, so far, we are on our way for Shadyside Park in Mount Clemens to gain an exciting year-round play space with an interactive water feature for summer play. Over $24,000 of the $40,000 goal has been raised. However, the campaign deadline of April 30 is fast approaching.
