General Motors awards eight community impact grants to local organizations

General Motor's Global Technical Center in Warren is granting a total of $160,000 to eight nonprofits in the area to improve the lives of people in the community.
Ahead of the annual employee car show held at the center, GM recognized the organizations, each working to build community through a multitude of programs.

General Motors awarded $160,000 in community grants to eight local nonprofit organizations (including Advancing Macomb) Wednesday during a special presentation at the GM Technical Center in Warren.
The grants are part of GM’s Community Impact Grants program, created in 2010, and are focused on STEM education, vehicle and road safety, community development, and climate equity.
